As we continue living out Jesus’ command to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34), we invite you to join us for our new 10‑week Bible series: Be Real.

This series is rooted in the epistle of 1 John, where we explore what it truly means to love one another - not in theory, but in the everyday reality of our lives. Together, we’ll look at how Jesus’ command shapes authentic faith, genuine relationships, and a life that reflects Him.

Be real in your faith. Be real with God. Be real with one another.

We don’t want to wear masks or present counterfeits before God. We long for real faith, real love, real life.

Alongside the series, we’ll be following a reading plan - 1 John (You Version) - to help us know Him more deeply and hear His voice as He speaks to our church.

 Sermon 1 - Sunday 28th June 2026

Join us as we kick off our Be Real Bible series with an introduction to the book of 1 John - exploring its context, its author, and why it was written. In this opening session, we walk through the first four verses (1 John 1:1–4), where we see that real faith is rooted in Jesus, the One who has been present from the very beginning. When we misunderstand who Jesus is, everything else in our faith and our lives becomes distorted. Getting Jesus right shapes how we live, love and follow Him with authenticity.

Sermon 2 - Sunday 5th July 2026

In this week’s sermon, we continue our journey through 1 John by focusing on 1 John 1:5-10, where John reveals a defining truth about God’s character: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. This powerful image invites us to examine our own lives honestly. As we confront our ongoing battle with sin, we ask a challenging question - have we settled for something less than the life God intends for us? Have we allowed pockets of darkness to linger, to take root, or to quietly shape our hearts and habits? John reminds us that real fellowship with God means walking in the light, embracing truth and refusing to hide behind excuses or self‑deception. In these verses we explore what it looks like to bring our sin into the open, to receive God’s cleansing grace, and to pursue a life that reflects His purity and goodness.

Join us in this week's Be Real Bible Series sermon where we are in 1 John 2:1–11. John reminds us that although sin remains a daily struggle for every believer and Satan works hard to sow discord among God’s people, we are not left without hope. Jesus Himself stands as our advocate, speaking on our behalf before the Father, and He is the atoning sacrifice who has fully satisfied God’s righteous wrath by offering His life as the substitute for our sins. Because of this grace, we are called to walk in the light not only in our relationship with God but also in how we relate to one another. When life becomes difficult or tensions arise within the church family, we must come alongside each other with patience, humility, and love, refusing to let darkness take root and choosing instead to reflect the character of Christ in our relationships.

Sermon 4 - Sunday 19th July 2026

In this week’s sermon of the Be Real Bible Series, we turn to 1 John 2:12–17, where John helps us understand who we are in Christ at every stage of spiritual maturity - from new believers discovering forgiveness, to growing Christians strengthened by the Word, to mature disciples whose lives are centred entirely on Jesus. The command, “Do not love the world,” reminds us to stay alert to the pull of worldly desires and to cultivate a love for God’s creation and for one another. As followers of Jesus, we cannot divide our affections between the world and the Father; we choose Christ. We fight the desires of the flesh by feasting on Him, guard our eyes by fixing them on Jesus, and confront pride by kneeling at the cross, learning to live with a love shaped by His light rather than the world’s shadows.
